REACh

REACH stands for the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation of Chemicals in the European Union. This regulation centralizes and simplifies chemicals legislation and entered into force on 1 June 2007.

It is the first regulation worldwide and is supposed to improve health and environmental protection.

To reach this aim, all producers and importers of an amount of more than one ton of chemical goods per year in the European Union have to register the respective materials at European Chemicals Agency (EChA). By registering a material, the right to distribute this material is issued.

Substituting substances of very high concern (SVHC) with less dangerous products is one of REACH´s goals. Although K.D. Feddersen is neither a producer nor a direct importer of such goods, we might be affected as certain products are no longer available or have to be adjusted due to raw materials that are no longer allowed or because of commercial reasons.

As soon as we are able to say something about possible changes to our range of products, we will give you advice on alternatives or substituting products.
